For an attorney, court shows on TV can be maddening. What happens in real life in court is nothing like what you see on the picto-cube. But once in a while, something entertaining does happen. This week's podcast contains some of my favorite examples: crazy things I've seen in court.

I've also been asked for updates on a few of my other projects which I sometimes mention in comments. I have a biography of Preston Tucker (and his car) which is being edited and will be out in early 2016. I am also just finishing up a book on the winged cars - the Charger Daytonas and the Superbirds. That might actually be out before the Tucker book but it's not up to me. Publishers do what they do once I give them the manuscript.

Anyhoo, here's this week's podcast. Things I've seen in court with my own eyes.

And the pic above is the cockpit of a 1970 Superbird. Gotta love the horn. Press the Road Runner and hear him go Beep Beep! And the pistol grip shifter. Face it, that's what's wrong with automatic transmissions - not that they do all the work for you. It's that they don't have cool shifter grips like this

Damn kids these days.

The bad news is that you shouldn't act upon any of the information without consulting a qualified professional attorney who will, probably, bill you by the hour.

It's not so much a lie as a fantasy. They never actually say it's true; but people do jump to that conclusion.

When I went for Jury selection last summer, I remember someone was late coming back after a small brake and one stupid excuse for not being able to serve on the jury. I never though I would see such a look from a Crown Prosecutor.

In Canada, there is currently a big kerfuffle over how people dress in court if you're interested.

That whole - Covering the Face - argument is another hot one right now in some places. At least there is a basis for the argument. But people who dress disrespectfully in the court - it can be amazing.

There is a judge in a Wayne County district court who would not allow jeans - even if they were black - but she would allow ANYTHING else. The bailiffs often sent people across the street to the Goodwill store and told them to buy ANYTHING but jeans. I saw a litigant wearing pajama bottoms, I kid you not. The judge was happy. They weren't jeans.

". I saw a litigant wearing pajama bottoms, I kid you not" ....lol. I do not understand people. If I ever have to go to court, I hope the jurors or judge thinks I am an upstanding young man trying my best at being a model citizen. Wearing pajama bottoms is unlikely to help haha.

I'm guessing they were the cheapest thing the person could find in their size on short notice.

Sorry but this struck me as so funny since it is on a sub blog of Jalop but brake is in a car. Break is to take a moment. Sorry going through some stuff I meant to get to and this comment just made me laugh.
